Dr. Frania is a northeast Ohio native, growing up in Madison, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Dayton before completing his doctorate at Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency at Mt. Sinai/St. Francis Medical Center in Hartford, CT before opening Foot and Ankle Specialists of Ohio in 1995. He has held teaching positions at St. Vincent Medical Center as the Director of the Reconstructive Surgery and Deformity Correction Fellowship Program which he founded in 2012.
Dr. Frania has had extensive, advanced training in Forefoot/Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery and performed the first total ankle replacement in the tri-county area in 2012. His special interests include sports medicine, trauma and foot and ankle reconstructive surgery.
